CHEM Group – Hot Springs
Established in 1986, CHEM Group-Hot Springs, formerly Mid-America Distillations, Inc., specializes in the reclamation of gas patch ethanolamines and glycols, synthetic organic heat transfer fluids, cold mill rolling oils, hydraulic fluids, and precious metal catalyst. Also processed at this facility are a variety of industrial chemicals, biodiesel byproduct glycerin, and petrochemical intermediates.
Located at 847 Blacksnake Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas, this 9.53 acre site occupies lots 63-65 of the Mid-America Industrial Park and features 4,800 sq. ft. of indoor processing area, 8,600 sq. ft. of warehouse / office space, a 3,700 sq. ft. boiler house, and an 1,110 sq. ft. laboratory / office building. Nearly 650,000 gallons of tank storage are located at this site with about 263,000 gallons of that under roof. This site includes several dedicated systems in addition to those available for toll processing. Ample electricity, natural gas, and city water are available with plant steam generated by two natural gas fired boilers (one 350 HP and one 100 HP). Total cooling tower capacity of 1,460 tons is provided by one 860 ton and three separate 200 ton towers. This offers direct access to rail via Arkansas Midland Railroad and is within reasonable driving distance to Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas.
CHEM Group-Hot Springs operates around the clock, 365 days a year and can ship and receive materials in drums, totes, tank trucks, and railcars.
